LCTA Meets with OASES Hong Kong
On September 23, LCTA’s Secretary General Monica Zurfluh welcomed Bryan Peng, Executive Director, and Frenda Cheung, Chief Manager (Fintech), of Hong Kong’s Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises (OASES), in Lugano for an exchange on developments in commodity trading and potential areas of cooperation.
The meeting provided an opportunity to learn more about Hong Kong’s plans to strengthen its role as an international hub for gold and commodity trading, as well as OASES’ activities to attract and support strategic enterprises. Particular attention was given to Ticino’s commodity trading ecosystem and to opportunities to foster business contacts and information exchange between the two markets.
The dialogue initiated during the meeting laid the groundwork for further exchanges between LCTA and OASES and for exploring potential initiatives of interest to LCTA members.
