THE LCTA TRAINING PROGRAM
Commodity trading companies operate at the center of a complex network that includes producers, processors, traders, and end-users, as well as a wide range of players supporting their operations, including financial institutions, insurance companies, inspection and certification firms, and transportation and storage providers. As the number of parties involved continues to grow, processes across the commodity value chain are becoming increasingly complex. Commodity trading is therefore a complex and constantly evolving industry that requires highly specialized skills and knowledge.
The Lugano Commodity Trading Association (LCTA) aims to support its members and their employees in developing and keeping up to date the skills they need to operate in this constantly evolving industry. Its training offering includes specialized courses focusing on specific topics, as well as the Certified Commodity Trading Specialist (CCTS) industry training program.
