On November 13 and 14 will be held in Lugano the annual international conference on commodities and commodity trading, organized by the Lugano Commodity Trading Association (LCTA).
With a new format, the “Global Commodities Conference” will gather world-renowned special guests, international trade experts, commodity traders, banking institutions and service providers. It is a unique platform in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland for networking and deepening of issues related to this sector. The program will start on November 13, at 5.00 pm, with a round table dedicated to the Eurasian economic space and the impact of the project “One Belt, One Road” (or New Silk Road) promoted by the Chinese government. Important personalities representing the countries of this area (Russia, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, China) will discuss the potential and challenges of the region, in particular regarding commodities. The second day – November 14 – will be dedicated to the role of banks in the commodity trade finance. Then, three parallel seminars will focus on the main sectors in Ticino: Metals, Energy and Logistics.
